School trip

On Tuesday we went on a reading reward trip. we went to Rotorua. some of us went to the Safari Park, some went to the movies and some went rock climbing. we had lots of fun and everyone enjoyed the day.

MALAYSIA

The students in room 4 have been busy exchanging emails with students in Malaysia. they are trying to find out how different their lives are and especially how different school is. they are all very excited about the project and are keen to carry on. Sometimes communication has been a bit difficult becasue the Malaysian students struggle with the English. I think it must be good for them to have a real purpose for using English by sending emails to English speaking students. Nothing quite like real life experiences!

Clean up day

We spend part of Friday morning cleaning up around the school, along the road and in the carpark. This was all part of National Clean up Week

Peter and the Wolf

This week a puppet show visited our school. they told us the story of Peter and the Wolf. we all enjoyed it a lot and one of the students is writing what the story was all about.

Wacky Games Day

Room 4 on our Wacky Games Day, one of the rewards for an awesome result in the reading challenge.

We had a visit from the 'Birdman'. He showed us how to use a hang glider. We all had a chance to try it out!
He also taught us a lot about flight and the different people who first tried to fly.we had a lot of fun and learned all sorts of facts about flight.
